Chamonix Experience’s nine day guided Haute Route consists of seven days ski touring, allowing for a warm up day with your guide before setting off and plenty of flexibility worked into the schedule to provide for bad weather.
Our Chamonix – Zermatt Haute Route itinerary follows the standard route via Verbier. You will be staying in refuges for five nights of the trip, therefore only carrying food and water required for each day.
Before undertaking the Chamonix – Zermatt Haute Route ski tour, you need to have a good level of fitness in order to sustain seven days of consistent exercise. You should have some previous experience of ski touring and backcountry skiing so that you are familiar with the gear and techniques. You should also be familiar with off-piste snow conditions.

Should you have any doubts about your ability or lack the required previous experience, we recommend that you take part in the Chamonix Experience 8 day Ski Touring course first. We would also recommend taking our one-day Avalanche Awareness and Crevasse Rescue course to give you a better understanding of the environment through which you will be travelling on the Haute Route.
Our Chamonix Experience Haute Route package is all-inclusive - there are no hidden costs such as taxis, lifts or hut accommodation. Everything is taken care of by your guide, enabling you to relax and enjoy this fantastic ski tour. The only additional cost is your lunches and drinks on a daily basis (your guide will ensure that there is time to pick up provisions).
